The Brigham Young University Project

Brigham Young University needed to outfit a complete TRX training room. They wanted to use our standard I-Beam Mount but couldn't because of HVAC and lighting fixtures.

They contacted us about a custom solution and we got right on it. We designed a solution based on our standard I-Beam Mount and proven engineering principals. The Extended I-Beam Mount seen below was the result.

The Firstlaw Fitness Extended I-Beam Mount design is simple, yet incredibly rigid. Now that we had a great solution for them we had to put it through testing. We contracted the help of D'Huy Engineering, in Pennsylvania to conduct the stress analysis and laboratory testing.

Below is the Extended I-Beam Mount at a 45 deg angle loaded to over 300 LBS! D"Huy engineering not only conducted the analysis and load testing, but they also provided an engineering design certification by a licensed P.E.

Installation was simple and now Brigham Young University has a fully functional TRX workout room.

Our fully staffed engineering dept. is ready to take on your project as well.

A big thank you goes out to Brigham Young University for the opportunity!
